15 months (1.25 for those of you who don't want to do the math)

Well, this begins the first of our quarterly updates (rather than monthly).  I've been way behind on these due to the craziness that is our lives of late (house selling, job shifting, etc.), but hopefully will get caught up and keep 'em coming in a timely manner.

I'm kicking myself for not writing down all the little accomplishments and special moments from this quarter, but I will rack my brain for what I do remember.

Ummm, what is all this white stuff doing in TEXAS?

Valentine's Day breakfast - heart pancake, heart bacon, strawberry milk

Heart sandwich for lunch - he loves his oranges!

Rearranging the cabinets

Sticker boy!

Loving on Kitty

Supporting the Twins

The biggest accomplishment this quarter for our little guy is mastering walking.  He had been taking 5 or 6 steps here and there, but nothing consistent.  We had our friends' wedding approaching and Ryker was the ring bearer.  I finally had a pep talk with him, telling him that he needed to be able to walk down the aisle for his big role.  He literally woke up from his nap that afternoon and got to the bottom of the stairs and walked the whole way to me and kept walking the rest of the day forward.  I guess he took the pep talk to heart!

First day of walking

He improved so quickly.  He was soon navigating with speed and ease, and even adding dance moves into the mix.  I will never forget the night we went to a local Mexican restaurant that had a live band playing salsa music.  We couldn't keep Ryker off the dance floor.  He danced with all the ladies, and they even made a circle around him as he "danced".  I think his ego grew ten sizes that night.  His dance moves consisted of bouncing, shaking his fist, and doing little "cha cha" moves back and forth.  I'm just glad he was learning some good rhythm from someone other than me.  I just wish I would have had my phone to video Rico Suave in action.

Chocolates, what chocolates?

And, of course, every walking boy needs to splash in some mud puddles!

Ryker received his first haircut from his Aunt Amy (I checked her credentials - she's legit).
Are you sure you know what you're doing...should I be worried?

Looking so grown-up with the new "do"

Rockin' with Colin once again

Ryker loves these guys!  (Colin and Elizabeth)

Within just a week or two he was walking all over the place, and he was even able to make it all the way down the aisle at Matt and Rachel's wedding.  He kinda charmed everyone on the way down too.  So proud that all his hard work and practice payed off!  It was so special being part of their special day.
Do these glasses make me look smarter?

Tearing up the dance floor

Mr. Tough Guy

Dancing with the bride (yes, he was the garter "catcher" - hopefully the forthcoming wedding won't be for another 25 years or so...)

Family time (Jon - officiant, Teresa - bridesmaid, Ryker - ring security)

Ryker is still incredibly active and loves to be social.  He is affectionately known as the "diplomat" in our playgroup because he likes to distribute the toys, share, "talk", and tries to make upset friends feel better.

Play till ya drop

Playing at the indoor squishy park with good friend Annistyn

Loves to help clean

"Wing King" just like Daddy - maybe that makes him a Wing Prince
